Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) Profile

Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) Profile

FSH, LH, Prolactin, Testosterone Total, Insulin Fasting, Blood Glucose Fasting

Details

Description

Tests Parameter:

FSH, LH, Prolactin, Testosterone Total, Insulin Fasting, Blood Glucose Fasting

PCOD profile is designed for the monitoring of patients with Polycystic Ovarian Disorder / Syndrome (PCOD / PCOS). In PCOD, the ovaries release immature follicles which turn into cysts. In many cases, the body also releases more androgens which further affect the hormonal balance and woman’s secretion behaviour (skip or irregular menstrual periods and makes it harder to get pregnant). If it’s not addressed in time, it can lead to future complications (infertility, diabetes, obesity). Hence, it is well recommended for females to get their PCOD blood tests to avoid unnecessary health risks.

Common Symptoms of PCOS:
