The glucose challenge test measures your body's response to sugar (glucose).

Details

The glucose challenge test is done during pregnancy to screen for gestational diabetes — diabetes that develops during pregnancy.

The glucose challenge test is done in two steps. First you drink a sugary solution. One hour later, your blood sugar level is measured.

The measurement is taken 1 hour after you consume a glucose drink.
This test can be conducted at any time of day as it is not a fasting test.
If your blood sugar is normal after the challenge, you will not require any more testing.
If it is high, you will need to have further testing Glucose Challenge Test (GCT),Pregnancy,75 g
