Technique: Transcription mediated Amplification, PCR and Line Probe assay

Technique: Pus/Body fluids (Pleural/Ascitic/ Pericardial/Synovial/Ocular) Aspirates/Semen/BAL/Bronchial washings: Submit as much as possible 3 - 5 ml. (1 ml. Minimum) in a sterile, plastic, screw capped container. Send Refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE. Specify type of specimen on container and TRF. Gastric Lavage: Patient should be fasting for previous 12 hours. Transport 5 - 10 ml. of gastric lavage specimen within 4 hours of collection. Send Refrigerated.DO NOT FREEZE.
