Tests Parameter:

FSH and LH: to rule out hypogonadism due to hypothalamic or pituitary dysfunction and hypergonadotropic premature ovarian failure. Increased LH/FSH ratio is suggestive of PCOS

Prolactin: Hyperprolactinemia is one of the most common entities associated with chronic anovulation.

TSH: to rule out hypothyroidism, as it may lead to secondary hyperprolactinemia.

AMH: AMH reflects the size of primordial follicle pool and is a useful marker of ovarian reserve. It also helps to assess ovarian function in patients with PCOS.

Estradiol E2: Estrogen is a product of granulosa cells and reflects follicular activity.


8 -10 Hrs. (Overnight) fasting is preferred.
