Technique: FFPE blocks from the primary tumour obtained during lumpectomy, breast conserving surgery or mastectomy.
Fixation of the tissue should be performed as per standard guidelines in 10% neutral buffered formalin. Tissue should not have any crush artefacts. There should be minimum of 30% invasive tumour content in the block. Avoid blocks with areas of necrosis /haemorrhage. When present, it should not constitute more than 50% of the tissue.
