Sample Collection Instruction: 10 mL(5 mL min.) Urine / Saliva in a sterile screw capped container OR 2 mL (1 mL min.) Plasma from 1 Lavender top (EDTA) tube OR 2 mL(1 mL min.) Serum from 1 Red top (No additive) tube OR 2 mL(1 mL min.) CSF / BAL fluid in a sterile screw capped container OR 5 g (3 g min.) fresh Tissue in normal saline. Ship refrigerated. Separate serum / plasma aseptically within 2 hours of collection. 12 hours overnight fasting is recommended. Nature of specimen on test request form is mandatory.
