Description

The alcohol content of your blood can be determined with an alcohol urine test to detect the presence of Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) and Ethyl Sulphate (EtS) in urine. The main purpose of this test is to document required alcohol abstinence.


A breathalyzer may occasionally produce a false positive or an erroneous result; in these cases, an alcohol urine test is used and Sample should be collected within 6 hrs. of alcohol consumption.

Technique: Lateral Flow Immunoassay/Fluorescence Polarization Immunoassay

Sample: 10 ml. (5 ml minimum) aliquot of random urine in a sterile, screw capped container

Precaution

Sample Collection Instruction: Aliquot of random urine filled up to the brim of a sterile, screw capped container. DO NOT FREEZE

No need for any special preparation. The individual should be sufficiently hydrated to provide a significant amount of sample for the test.
